Old Dubai: Heritage, Street Food & Souks

Four hours in Dubai’s historic heart: Al Fahidi, a street-food stop, an abra across the Creek and the spice and gold souks.

4 hoursAED 1,199 per private group · for 1–6 guests

Travellers crossing Dubai Creek on a traditional abra

Step into Dubai’s historic neighbourhoods and discover the stories, flavours and trading traditions behind the modern city. Explore Al Fahidi’s narrow lanes and traditional architecture, enjoy a street-food stop, cross Dubai Creek aboard an abra and wander through the colourful spice and gold souks. Shopping is optional. We enter only courtyards and buildings that are open to visitors at the time — never private houses.

Best for: Travellers who would rather walk the old trading quarter, taste the street food and cross the Creek than see the skyline from the car.

Realistic time budget. Old Dubai is the closest part of the city to DXB, so most of the four hours is spent on foot rather than in traffic. The full experience depends on the souks, food vendors and the abra being open: for very early or late starts we explain the adjusted route before you confirm — and if the heritage experience cannot be delivered, we suggest Dubai by Night instead.

At the airport, and if your flight is late

Your exact Dubai International Airport meeting point and your guide/driver contact details will be provided after your booking is confirmed.

Your airport pickup includes normal airport parking and up to 30 minutes of complimentary waiting from your confirmed meeting time. We understand that airport arrivals do not always go exactly to schedule. After the complimentary waiting period, additional waiting or parking charges may apply. Where possible, any additional charge will be communicated before it is incurred.

A delayed inbound flight is never treated as you being late. We reassess the time you have left and, where possible, shorten or adjust the itinerary. If the delay makes your experience impractical, we mark it for review and contact you on WhatsApp.

Questions travellers ask

Is your Check My Stopover result a guarantee?

No. It is an estimated suitability assessment based on scheduled times and conservative airport buffers. Borderline connections show “Manual review required”, and our team confirms every booking personally.

What if my inbound flight is delayed?

A delayed inbound flight is never treated as you being late. We reassess the time you have left and, where possible, shorten or adjust the itinerary. If the delay makes your experience impractical, we mark it for review and contact you on WhatsApp. Genuine airline disruption — a cancelled flight, a substantial delay or a significant schedule change made by the airline — is not treated as an ordinary customer cancellation. Please contact us as soon as possible: we will review your updated flight schedule and the options available individually. Depending on the circumstances, these may include adjusting the itinerary, rescheduling or another appropriate solution.

How long will you wait for me at the airport?

Your airport pickup includes normal airport parking and up to 30 minutes of complimentary waiting from your confirmed meeting time. We understand that airport arrivals do not always go exactly to schedule. After the complimentary waiting period, additional waiting or parking charges may apply. Where possible, any additional charge will be communicated before it is incurred.

How does pricing work for larger groups?

Each listed price is the total price for a private group of 1–6 guests — there is no additional charge per person within that range. For groups of 7 or more, please request a custom group quotation.

How many people and bags fit in the vehicle?

As a guide, about 6 guests without significant luggage, or about 4 with normal airport luggage — always subject to the actual vehicle. Larger combinations show “Vehicle confirmation required” and we arrange the right vehicle with you.

Does the tour time include the airport drives?

Tour times run from meeting your guide or driver in the arrivals hall to drop-off at your departure terminal, and include all driving. They are not your flight connection: the connection must also cover about 1.5 hours after landing (2 if you collect checked bags) and the 3-hour return buffer before departure — about 4.5 hours more than the tour itself. So a four-hour tour needs a connection of roughly 8½ hours, and an 8-hour day roughly 12½.
